Champion cutting tool's Brute Platinum XLT tapper was designed to increase tapping productivity when threading large amounts of holes in ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Outperforming the traditional way of tapping, the XLT tapper taps holes 10X faster than handheld tapping using a tap wrench. The XLT tapper is the perfect tool for various industries including steel fabrication, elevator maintenance, mo and more. Specifically engineered for heavy duty applications, the XLT tapper can tap steel/ferrous materials up to 9/16 In. (14 mm) and aluminum/non-ferrous materials up to 5/8 In. (16 mm). High tech features such as, auto reverse, speed control, and pivoting tap collet reduce tap breakage saving you time and money on the job. With the operator in mind, the XLT tapper is easy to use and lightweight, featuring a depth-stop to control threading depth, and includes a spindle clutch for safer jam-free tapping. For optimal performance, Brute Platinum XL22 spiral point taps and RotoBrute cutting fluid are recommended for fast and easy tapping.
