Collins Tool Universal Coping Foot

The Coping Foot is a dome shaped base that replaces the flat base on a jigsaw. The purpose is to allow free handing cuts with the saw. The bearing surface is right by the blade so pitching, turning, and beveling are always supported as adjustments in the cuts are made. This is especially useful in coping moldings including all sizes of crown. Also, back-cutting scribed trim against brick and stonework can be much more accurate as one cuts from the back side of the wood allowing for a much better visual perspective.

The Coping Foot is formed from 14 ga. plated steel. Youll wear out a couple of jig saws before you wear out your Coping Foot.

Fits most jigsaws except Porter-Cable, and the Bosch model 1590 and 1591

The Collins Coping Foot is very compact. You can saw very close to obstacles. Do a sink cutout against a back splash for instance or cut a bottom plate next to a stud. A big scribe job is much easier with a Coping Foot because you can back bevel at will without having to make changes to the jigsaw like you would when using a flat base.

The universal model will not fit the Festool Carvex or the Mafell P1cc. Collins Tool Company manufactures a custom designed Coping Foot for both the Festool Carvex and the Mafell P1cc.
