The First Alert 1046851 is a hardwired smoke detector with a 10-year sealed battery backup, featuring advanced sensing technology to reduce nuisance alarms and provide early warning. It includes both an ionization smoke sensing chamber and an electrochemical carbon monoxide sensor, and is designed to monitor for smoke and CO for the lifespan of the device, even during power outages.
