The General Equipment PLDBH12 Earth Auger delivers reliable performance for digging larger diameter holes in construction, utility, agricultural, and landscaping applications. Designed for use with compatible General two-man hole diggers and Ground Hog earth drills, it features a 12 Inch cutting diameter and a standard 36 Inch effective digging length for productive operation. Heavy-gauge steel flighting efficiently lifts loose material while minimizing power consumption during drilling. The reinforced steel axle withstands high torque and bending forces encountered in difficult soil conditions. A one-piece cast steel boring head positions the cutting teeth for maximum penetration, improved wear life, and consistent digging performance. Outside cutting teeth extend beyond the flighting to reduce wear on critical components, while interchangeable tooth options provide flexibility for digging through compacted clay, fractured limestone, sandstone, caliche, and similar challenging ground conditions.
