The IRWIN® SPEEDBOR® 1-Inch by 6-Inch Standard-Length Spade Bit delivers the speed and efficiency you need to bore clean holes in all sorts of wood. Its flat tip features a wide design, and its 6-inch length extends the reach of your drill. This Irwin flat drill bit fits inside all 1/4-inch chucks for universal performance, and its tip has two sharp spurs. These beveled features slice away excess materials while you drill, so your edges do not split when you add pressure. The flat wood drill bit relies on these spurs to reduce vibrations while you work so you retain control from start to finish. A Blue-Groove™ point and edge enable even faster cuts, so you can work as quickly as possible without chipping around the circumference of your hole.
