Makita 18V LXT Lithium-Ion Brushless Cordless Jig Saw (Bare Tool)

The Makita 18 Volt LXT® cordless jig saw features Makita built BL™ brushless motor that delivers maximum speed, maximum versatility and performance for up to 50% longer run time, increased power and speed. Eliminating the carbon brushes, this BL™ brushless motor runs cooler and more efficiently for longer life. It has three orbital settings plus straight cutting that allows faster and more precise cuts in a variety of materials. Saw has variable 6-speed control dial that optimizes speed from 800 to 3,500 SPM and allows user to match the speed to the specific applications. No-load speed reduction feature in this tool automatically minimizes the SPM for more accurate cutting starts. Tool-less blade change system in this saw provides faster blade installation and removal for enhanced productivity. It has built-in dust blower that clears the line of cut for better accuracy. This jig saw with battery, weighs only 5.8 lb and has rubberized soft grip handle that reduces user fatigue and provides increased comfort on the job. Tool powered by an 18 Volt Lithium-Ion slide style battery assures fastest charge time, more working time and minimal sitting time on the charger. Saw with Star Protection Computer Controls™, allows the Star Protection-equipped tool and battery to exchange data in real time. This Star Protection communication technology also monitors condition while in use to safeguard against overloading, over discharging and overheating.
