The 40V max XGT® 15"" Dethatcher / Scarifier (GVU01) features a 2-in-1 design for dethatching or scarifying, which revitalizes turf, allowing water, sunlight and nutrients to reach lawn roots. The 15"" Dethatcher / Scarifier revitalizes turf with powerful cuts that allow water, sunlight, and nutrients to reach lawn roots. The dethatching Spring Tine Reel features independently flexing steel spring tines for combing and lifting layers of thatch and moss. The Scarifier Blade Reel is designed with 16 steel blades for deep cuts to pull up thick layers of thatch. There is a dial on the body that adjusts the working Depth from -15/32” to +3/16”. Convenience features include a grass catcher bag that holds up to 1.4 bushels of grass, a rubberized soft grip handle bar for added comfort, and a waterproof design that allows washing inside the deck with water. It also features ball bearings in the wheels which provides a smoother drive with better maneuverability and increased durability. The GVU01 also features a tool-less foldable handle for compact storage. The 15"" Dethatcher / Scarifier is a part of Makita’s XGT® line of outdoor power equipment offering and offers high performance with low noise levels, and gives the user greater convenience with no gas, emissions, oil mixing or pull starts. XGT® is a system of equipment, tools, batteries, and chargers utilizing 40V max lithium-ion batteries.
