The RIDGID® E-47 Hammer-Type Flaring Tool serves as a handy way to increase the size of a copper water pipe without having to make complicated fitting connections or cut and replace pieces of pipe. Because pipes do not always fit perfectly together, especially when replacing copper plumbing in older buildings or homes that may be leaking or damaged, a flaring tool can make this job easier. This pipe flaring tool is simple to use by placing it on the end of a water pipe and driving it in with a hammer, which can let you use existing pipe instead of having to replace pieces. The textured grip makes holding the tool more secure and helps prevent slipping while striking with a hammer. Created of hardened steel, the Ridgid flaring tool has a long nose for centering that creates a 45-degree flare that is uniform in shape. This pipe flaring tool works on water pipes constructed of soft copper that measure 3/4 inch in diameter.
