What's New? Our August 2025 Tool Haul Featuring Milwaukee, DEWALT & More!

Let’s be honest for a second. Most months in the tool world are pretty standard. You get a new battery, maybe a slightly different shade of yellow or red, and you keep moving, but looking back at August 2025? That was different. That was the month the big dogs, Milwaukee, DeWalt, Makita, and Festool, decided to collectively empty our wallets by dropping some of the most essential gear we’ve seen in years.

We are looking back at the haul that had everyone talking last summer. If you missed the boat, you’ve probably been sweating on the job site, wondering why the guy next to you is working cleaner, faster, and quieter. Let’s break down the tape.

The Clean Up Crew & The Quiet Riot

First off, we got to talk about Festool. I know, I know, usually when you hear "dust extractor," you think of lugging a shop vac the size of a Mini Cooper up three flights of stairs. Festool changed the math here with the CT MIDI I and the CT 15 HEPA. These things are absolute units of power but are lightweight enough that you aren't throwing your back out just getting to the job. If you are still eating drywall dust in 2026, that is entirely on you.

Then there is Milwaukee. They dropped a few things, like the M18 Top-Off and that precision blower, which is perfect for blowing sawdust off your chop saw (or cleaning out your truck cab, let’s be real). But the real MVP was the M18 FUEL SURGE hydraulic driver. If you have ever worked in an occupied office building or don't want your ears ringing by age 40, this hydraulic powertrain is the answer. It’s quiet, pulls hard, and drives smoothly. It’s the kind of tool that makes you wonder why we ever used mechanical impacts in the first place.

Heavy Lifting & Smooth Finishes

DeWalt came through for the heavy machinery guys with the 20V MAX 2-Speed Grease Gun. Look, maintenance isn't sexy. Nobody wakes up pumped to grease fittings. But this tool turned a miserable chore into a trigger pull. High pressure, high volume, no pumping by hand until your forearm falls off. It keeps the equipment running so you can keep billing.

And finally, Makita came in to close the show with the 18V LXT Polisher Sander. Whether you are detailing a truck or prepping a surface, cordless convenience is king. Dragging a cord across fresh paint is a rookie move, and Makita made sure you never have to do it again.

The Legend's Locker (Shop The Drop)

Here is the gear that stood the test of time. If you don't have these in your truck yet, you are officially lagging.
