The Makita® XGT® 40 Volts cordless 4‑1/2 Inch/6 Inch paddle switch angle grinder with electric brake, is built with brushless motor and 40 Volts battery to offer enhanced performance output of 15 Amp corded power, powerful grinding and more than 30% cutting speed when compared to other models. It features a sturdy reinforced metal gear housing which ensures trouble free operation with minimized vibration and enhanced durability. Designed with spiral bevel gears that offer effortless rotations and optimum energy transfer. The XGT® digital communication safeguards the device from overload, over discharge and overheating thus making this tool perfect for use in heavy-load applications. The XGT® multi-layer contact interface and sturdy rails construction make sure that tools and batteries are continuously delivering optimum power output even on high-current demands. The Extreme Protection Technology (XPT™) and wire mesh intake covers safeguards the motor and bearings from dust, debris and water and ensures long lasting usage. If wheel is forced to stop, active feedback-sensing technology (AFT®) turns the motor off. Built in electronic current limiter ensures smooth operation, durable gear life as well as overload protection in high torque applications. When battery is inserted with locked on switch, inbuilt anti-restart protection makes the motor to stop. Engineered with quick guard rotation feature required for convenient adjustments without using any tools. Includes a large paddle switch for starting power press points at various grip positions and a soft start suppresses start-up reaction for longer productivity and durable gear life. This 13-1/2 Inch long angle grinder is compactly designed for use in tight spaces. The XGT® rapid charger requires less than 45 minutes of charging time, has a battery cooling dual-fan design and a inbuilt chip with digital display for charge level indication.
